personal profile
Born on 9th October, 1957, Lynda has grown up in the
Hutt Valley, spent time in several parts of the country and overseas,
and returned to her home town to raise a family. She has always held a
strong interest in community activities and in the Health Sector. Her
years of secretarial work were left behind to begin a wonderful road
trip travelling throughout New South Wales, Australia, working for the
Community Health and Anti-TB Association. On-sight training as a
Radiographer on the Mobile Chest X-Ray Unit set the tone for one of her
most tremendous life experiences. Many country towns and parts of the
outback were visited, giving Lynda the opportunity to meet, talk, and on
occasion, graciously invited to share in the lifestyles of the people of
Australia, making her journey a very rich one.
Lynda is the proud Mother to five wonderful children, further blessed
with a grandson, and is very much a family oriented person. A vested
interest in her children’s education, and involvement with the local
primary school, together with the study of Australasian Sign Language,
led her to begin working alongside a profoundly deaf child in a
mainstream learning situation. Training was gained through the Hearing
Association in Lower Hutt and Van Asch College for the Deaf in
Christchurch during which time Lynda qualified as an Interpreter of the
Deaf and Teacher Aide. Lynda embraces an enthusiasm for gardening, art,
music and theatre, and enjoys painting and working with various
handcrafts in her spare time.
Through her personal journey of healing and self-mastery, she has
studied and trained extensively in different fields. Her studies of
metaphysics and quantum physics have been blended with formal studies in
Psychology, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Natural Therapies, and healing
of the mind, emotions, and spirit which in turn heals the physical body.
Some of these have been diploma courses and others certificated courses,
which give her recognition by professional bodies.
Lynda is a skilled therapist dedicated to helping people relieve pain
and stress, and to improve physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Each client’s therapy is developed for that person as an individual
plan, using natural, drug-free healing techniques. Lynda enjoys
facilitating a balanced approach to healing on a comprehensive level,
with the integration of mind, body and spirit. She is a warm and
outgoing person of good humour and integrity.
As her children have grown and become independent, Lynda took another
new pathway and moved to Gore in the beautiful South, in April 2006.
When she arrived in the Mainland, she knew no-one….and so a new chapter
in her life has just begun.
My Philosophy
No one is greater than another, and all are equal.
It is as if a large diamond were to be found inside each person. Picture a diamond a foot long. The diamond has a thousand
facets, but the facets
are covered with dirt and tar. It is the job of the soul to clean each facet until the surface is brilliant and can reflect
a rainbow of colours.
Now, some have cleaned many facets and gleam brightly. Others have only managed to clean a few, they do not sparkle so. Yet
underneath the dirt, each person possesses within his or her breast a brilliant diamond with a thousand gleaming facets. The
diamond is perfect, not one flaw. The only differences among people are the number of facets cleaned. But each diamond is
the same, and each is perfect.
When all facets are cleaned and shining forth in a spectrum of light, the diamond returns to the pure energy that it was
originally. The lights remain. It is as if the process that goes into making the diamond is reversed, all that pressure
released. The pure energy exists in the rainbow of lights, and the lights possess consciousness and knowledge.
All of the diamonds are perfect.
